PROXY Solicitation for 2008 Annual Meeting of the Nauru Tower Owners’ Association (Japanese version)

ナウルタワー コンドミニアム所有者2008年度総会が3月31日 午後六時 ナウルタワー ロビーと決定致しました。

この日は コンド所有者が一堂に集い 過去一年の重要事項を振り返り、又来るべき一年に予期される諸事項を審議し、三人の新しい役員を選出することで、再出発する大切な日です。

しかしこの総会を開く為には、“実出席者”並びに“委任状による出席者”の総数が 全所有者の50%以上の多数に達しなければなりません。今年は、3月27日まで(土、日を除く総会の二日前まで)にこの数に達しない場合には 総会を取り消し、新たな日を設定し、全所有者に再通告し直さなければなりません。これは大変な手間と経費のかかる事ですので 避けたいのですが 外国人所有者、不在所有者の多いナウルタワーでは毎年事務当局関係者が心を痛め事であります。

つきましては同封のPROXY Form (委任状)に必要事項記入の上、同封の封筒を使い3月27日までにHawaiiana Management Co. に届くよう投函してくださる様お願い致します。締切までに時間的余裕が余り有りませんので FAXでも良いそうです。 Hawaiiana Management Co.の FAX番号は ハワイ(808)593-6333です。

其の場合 誰に投票よいのか判らない時には、上から三番目の□にXマークし Setsuko Hayakawa と_____欄に書き込んで下されば 私が理事会運営に最適と思われる有能な人を候補者の中から選び 代行投票させていただきます。 (注。私は2007年より2010年まで 3年間 理事をつとめることとなり、財務、書紀、法務を同時担当しておりますが、理事会の中で業務をこなせる者が片寄って居るため、今回の選挙においては 興味優先で無く、ナウル共同体に実際に寄与できる特殊知識、技能と能力を持つ有能な候補者を探すことが これからのナウルタワー運営に大変重要な課題であると思っております。)

Translation of Announcement to the Japanese Speaking Nauru Tower Unit Owners

The 2008 Annual Meeting of the Unit Owners of Nauru Tower will be held at 6:00pm on March 31, 2008, in the Lobby of Nauru Tower.

This is an important day of the year to mark the beginning of the new term, for the owners getting together at one place to reflect upon significant events of the past year, to discuss various issues and challenges expected to arise in the coming year, but most importantly, to elect three new Board members.

However, for us to be able to have this meeting, we must have more than 50% of the owners’ attendance by proxy or by physical presence. This year, if by March 27th (2 days before the date of the meeting, excluding Satuday and Sunday) our proxies do not reach this goal, we must cancel our scheduled Annual Meeting and reschedue it on a new date, and send out another Notice to all of the owners again, which requires additional time and money. Although we would like to avoid getting into such a situation by all means, having a large percentage of overseas owners and absentee owners, this is a recurring difficulty that we face every year.

Therefore, we earnestly request that you fill in the PROXY FORM and send it back to Hawaiiana Management Co, by using the return envelope, so that Hawaiiana will receive it by March 27. Since there is not much time by the deadline, you may use FAX too. Hawaiiana’s FAX NO. is Hawaii (808) 593-6333.

In case you are at a loss to whom you should cast a vote, if you x mark the 3rd box □ and write in “Setsuko Hayakawa” in __________, then, I will be honored to select, and cast your proxy vote for someone I think is most capable and useful for the operation of the Board. (Note: I was elected to serve as a Board Member for 3 years from 2007 until 2010, and am now serving as the Treasurer/ Secretary, and Budget and Finance Chair, Legal and Rules Committee Chair. In my opinion, the Board is very much in need of capable people who are willing to work hard for, and contribute to the Association utilizing their specialized knowledge and/or technology, rather than a person who has mere personal or abstract interest in the operation of the Board.)

Proxy Forms need to be filled out by all owners by Thursday, March 27, 2008!

Attention All Owners

By now all of you have been made aware of the date and time of our Anuual Meeting, that will be held on Monday, March 31, 2008 at 6:30 pm. (Registration begins at 6pm)

But in order to make quota to hold the meeting, we need owners to fill out their Proxy Forms. For the proxy to be valid, the proxy must be received by Hawaiiana Management Co., Ltd. or the Association Secretary no later than 4:30 pm (Hawaii Time) on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Proxy may be faxed to (808) 593-6333. If you choose to attend the meeting, your proxy will be voided and you can cast your own vote.

If we do not receive enough proxies, the meeting will have to be rescheduled at significant additional cost to the Association.

The time remaining is limited so please try to get your proxy in as soon as possible on or before Thursday, March 27, 2008!

A class in Tai Chi- Starting Thursday, March 6, 2008

A class in Tai Chi is being offered to all residents. If you are a beginner and just want to learn and see what is is all about, or even if you are intermediate to advanced, we welcome your attendance.

Starting: Thursday, March 6, 2008 + Every Thursday Thereafter

Where: Level 5B-Conference Room (Your Retirement Co. & 30-Minute Fitness)

What is Tai Chi?
It is an ancient Chinese discipline of meditative movements practiced as a system of gentle deliberate exercises.

Some of the Benefits of Tai Chi:
Improve blood circulation, strengthens the cardiovascular system, teaches concentration and visualization techniques.
